An original watercolor scene of a set design for a production of “Romero and Juliet, Act II, Scene III.” The artist, Mary Merckenich, was also a well-known commercial artist and designer. Please ask as I do have other works including projects for Dole and Aunt Jane’s pickles and jam. The painting is painted on matboard and is currently in a 9 3/4″ x 15 3/4″ modern metal frame. Very good condition with no notable issues.
A vermeil (gold over sterling silver) and enamel brooch by David Andersen, designed by Nora Gulbrandsen. The design is titled“ROCK CARVING FROM NORWAY 1000-500 B.C.” The brooch is marked on the reverse, “D-A NORWAY STERLING 925S NORA G.” It measures just over 2 1/2 inches by 1 3/16 inches. The piece is in excellent old used condition with no notable damage only light wear and a few very small dings to the silver edge. The enamel is in excellent shape. The clasp works well. Dramatic, wearable, gorgeous!
