Hand-knit of handspun yarns, from highland Bolivia. Although this has lost some of its original coins, itīs an amazing piece. Each of the llamaīs legs is a hollow bag, each capable of holding coins. I was told that bags like this had coins sewn on for several reasons: to show the skill and wealth of the owner or creator; the coins identify the use and; the coins sewn onto the outside will attract more coins and thus, wealth for the owner. The monedero is in very good condition.
