Old Acoma olla
A nice early (1930s) polychrome olla. Typical for Acoma, thin walls with primarily geometric patterning. Of course, hand coiled, natural pigments and fired outside, with fireclouds. The piece is in excellent old condition and rings clear with a light tap. The surface shows the overall crackling of old polished pieces. There is surface wear appropriate for its age and the small “pops” usual in older Acoma pieces. 7 1/2″ tall x 8 1/2″ wide.
